It is the first year Amgen supported the Beamline for Schools Competition (BL4S). We are delighted to count them among our partners who helped us make the Competition possible and bring so many young students closer to science.

It is thanks to supporters such as Amgen that we continue offering to highschoolers from around the world a unique opportunity for creative engagement with difficult scientfic notions. During the process, the students can test themselves as innovators and collaborators with the amazing prize to come to CERN to carry out their experiments.

BL4S is a CERN & Society project and has managed so far to engage about 8,500 high-school students and almost 900 teachers with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), aiming at nurturing and inspiring the next generation of scientists and innovators.

You can find out more about the competition, the beamline and experimental facilities, and read about winning teams from previous years on the BL4S website
