Back with a Bang! CERN Festival Programme 2026

Summer is just around the corner … and so is the CERN Festival Programme.
Between performances, this year music festival-goers encountered science somewhat earlier than usual, with science stage Quantum Corral arriving to LUCK Reunion Festival in Texas late March.
On this year’s programme:
Musical performances! Including one between Micah Nelson, his band and CERN CMS physicist Dr Larry Lee.
Workshops! Like “Higgs in Your Hands” where participants used an original electronics board used on the ATLAS Experiment at CERN detector to discover the Higgs Boson.
Talks from Experts! On subjects ranging from climate change to how AI is affecting music.
Ice Cream! Made with liquid nitrogen, of course!

This event was made possible thanks to a collaboration between the CERN Festival Programme, The Big Bang Collective, the University of Texas at Austin and supporters of the CERN & Society Foundation.
We’re excited to announce the full 2026 CERN Festival Programme soon – stay tuned!
In the meantime …
Attended a festival? Or like the idea of bringing science to where people are?
